Here is yet another story about the past and current situation. When I was a child I’d play on my grandparent’s beach with not a care in the world. In 1990 zebra muscles were introduced to Lake Erie. Now they are all over the beach and kids should put shoes on to be safe. It’s sad. Instead of paying thousands of dollars for a beach cleaner I decided to try and build one on my own using garbage and things I have around my house, except for the fence I made into a cage/filter I got from a hardware store, the v-belt, and dimmer switch. I’m using a wooden pallet, an old grinder, a stroller I got from the trash, and a leaf and lawn sweeper I found in someone’s trash.
