A few things documented through the eye of a camera in 2007

I have a story and moral to this picture. This is the playground I grew up on taken from the south looking north. It's pathetic, but wasn't always this way. When I played on this playground included were 2 sets of swings, a slide, monkey bars, an octagon pyramid shaped jungle gym you climb up that had 4 poles you can slide down, 4 teeter-totters, one small merry-go-round, one big merry-go-round, two basketball hoops, and a set of three different height bars to do flips and such.

Now look what's left. Swings and nothing else. I remember from 2nd grade a girl scraped her legs playing on a merry-go-round. The following year it was gone. I'd bet as time passed, little by little these things were removed. And, I'd bet the children playing there now are happy, but have no idea what they are missing.

Now apply this story to our rights, the future of America, your children, and how a freedom is taken away one year, then another freedom is taken away many years later. Your grand children may be happy in tomorrow's world, but in my mind, their playground will still be lacking the freedoms we once had and they may never know the sadness of what has been lost, because they will never know the beauty and feelings of what once existed.
